Keep your Nokia N800 Internet Tablet software up-to-date
The OS2008 will be available for free on N800 - For the courtesy of N800 users, we will launch the online availibility of the software during December with the OS2008 performance upgrade. Performance upgrade is based on early user feedback collected through November. For further information on OS2008 go to www.nokia.com/OS2008
Make sure your device is up-to-date. See what's new for information on the software version that is currently available. To check the version number of the current software on your device, tap on the Application menu, and select Tools > Control panel > About product.
You can update the software on your Nokia Internet Tablet using your Windows PC. The update wizard will automatically update your Nokia device with the latest software version available; advanced users can also use the manual update option to update to a specific software version.
For updating your software using a Linux computer, go to www.maemo.org.

- Windows XP Professional x64 edition
- Windows XP (Professional or Home Edition) with Service Pack 2 or newer and Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework
- Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or newer and Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework
- Connection methods: Nokia connectivity cable DKE-2 (USB) for connecting the device to your computer, broadband Internet access.
Instructions for automatic update (recommended):
- Download the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard and save it to your computer.
- Install the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard by running Nokia_Internet_Tablet_Software_Update_Wizard.exe. This will install the update wizard and the Nokia USB cable driver if needed.
- To access the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard on your computer, open the Start menu and select Programs > Nokia > Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard > Nokia Internet Tablet Software Update Wizard.
- Follow the instructions on screen to complete the software update.
