Take a picture

Use the camera in your device to take a picture or record a video. You can adjust the camera settings to match the environment with different scene modes – no matter whether you are taking a picture of your favourite scenery or a portrait of your friend. Using the camera is possible even in dim environments; the LED flash will give you the light you need.

Three steps to taking a picture:

  1. Slide the lens cover open to activate the camera. If the lens cover is open, press the Camera key.
  2. Press the capture key halfway down to lock the autofocus on the object. The autofocus frame turns green when the focusing is finished.
  3. Press the capture key all the way down to take the picture.

Your device supports an image capture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels.

Landscape and portrait picture settings

The camera takes the pictures in landscape mode by default, but when taking portrait pictures, you can adjust the camera settings to turn the screen to portrait format. To change the format, select Options > Portrait format or Landscape format.

Avoid blurry pictures:

  • Let the autofocus lock onto the object before taking the picture. The autofocus frame turns green when the focusing is finished.
  • Do not move the device before the picture is taken.
  • Use flash in dimly lit environments.
  • Select Options > Self timer > 2 seconds to delay taking the image, and keep your hand steady when the picture is taken.
