Nokia E63 support

Get the most from your Nokia E63

Learn the basics about your device – how to use it efficiently. Get familiar and personalize your home screens. Transfer content from another compatible device and take full advantage of the keyboard shortcuts.

Transfer content from another device even without an extra SIM card

You can transfer important data like personal images, videos or business-related information from a compatible Nokia device to your Nokia E63 using Bluetooth connectivity. The type of content that can be transferred depends on the device model, and you may need to insert a SIM card into your previous device. The Nokia E63 does not need a SIM card to transfer data.

Use Switch to transfer data with Bluetooth

1. Turn both of the devices on and set the Bluetooth connection to active.
2. Select Menu > Tools > Switch, and follow the instructions on the screen.
3. On your Nokia E63, select the content you want to transfer from the other device.

Tip
After the data transfer, you can save the shortcut with the transfer settings to repeat the same transfer later. The shortcut appears in the Switch main view.

To edit the shortcut in the Switch main view, select Options > Shortcut settings.

Home screen modes

From the home screen, you can quickly access the features you use most, and see at a glance any missed calls or new messages. You can define two separate home screens for different purposes, for example for work and free-time. If you don't need to see business-related messages outside office hours, create one screen to show your personal e-mail, and another to show your business e-mail and notifications.

Get familiar with your Home screen

1. Applications shortcuts - To access an application, scroll to its shortcut and press the scroll key.
2. Information area - To check an item displayed in the information area, scroll to it and press the scroll key.
3. Notification area - To view the notifications, scroll to a box. A box is only visible if there are items in it.
To switch between home screens in standby mode, select Switch mode from the application shortcuts.
